Finally, RR remembers the camera.
The outrider sits at the rail just in front of Wind and pony as they enter the track about 8:30 a.m. Dogs up. (Left click to enlarge.)
Wind gallops toward us in his warm up. He'll do a two minute lick down the stretch, and the pony will catch him in the Clubhouse Turn. Then, to the gates.
By the time last photo is saved and next one snaps, Wind is gone. Jock R. Torbit can ride a little!
They got him in. Yellow helmet! Mr. Starter, carrying the whip. Nice fellow!
Take him out, spin him around, and in again.
Continued next post. Unknown when they'd spring the gates, and I missed it.
