Lost, Found, Lost

Metal shard or fleck gets in trainers eye while rasping heel of aluminum horse shoe in strong wind this week. Opthamologist/med bill $500.00 so far.  Track money.

Big blog news of the week--without vids for a while as Kodak Playful cam corder is lost, found, lost. Lost it out of pants driving horses to paddock, and found it incredibly on way back glistening in sun only to deposit it in plastic grocery bag confused with different bag same night and deposited in trash.  Same way 4 other prior Kodak Playfuls were previously lost..  Good grief.,

In other news--I keep eye balling the new running paddock for size since it's working so perfectly.  Always had wished running paddock at old farm were larger--running part was about 1F around.  Advantage of smaller size paddock is easier contact with and control of horses as they spring around.  Disadvantage is that running is primarily in circles.

Our present much larger paddock has less direct control as horses run but the larger size permits them to run more freely and realistically.  There's still enough control to keep them running around the circles per the vid last post.  Looked at it again yest. for size--thinking it's about 88 yds. by 88 yds. which means the running part is that horses have about 70 yds on each side to run and so almost 300 yds when they run all the way around.

The new paddock has also been successful to date in removing the "spook factor" from our tack work, and so we're making progress there, and would like to make a vid of the tack work, if we had a cam corder.
